Cummins announces Android version of products app

Author : Qijing Date : 2015-7-9 10:16:36
Engine and equipment manufacturer Cummins announced the release of an Android version of its QuickServe Online, or QSOL, products app on Wednesday.
The company, headquartered in Columbus, Indiana, and whose products are available in about 190 countries through nearly 7,200 dealers, created the app with existing customers in mind.
Through QSOL, users can view the company's part options, access a parts catalog and look up engine dataplate information for 15 million Cummins engine serial numbers.
Join us for this informative webinar to learn how AT&T helps companies define and build an effective mobility strategy that works across the entire enterprise.
The app also includes a fault code analyzer, through which users of the Cummins brand can read up on specific part fault details, what faults cause other faults and in what order repairs should be done when facing multiple problems.
"The QuickServe Online mobile app for Android devices enables many more owners of Cummins engines to access genuine Cummins parts information easier than ever before, giving them the most accurate information faster and getting them back on the road quicker," said Mike Champlin, director of information products for Cummins.
The Android version of the app follows the iOS version, which was released last September. Of the limited reviews in the iOS App Store, a few echo the sentiment that the app could offer more options for customization, like saving a default engine number.
In the Cummins press release, Champlin said the company offers a feedback option through the app and will continue to "update the QuickServe Online mobile app and evaluate additional features and functionality."
